It’s here!!!  The game you’ve all been waiting for!

“Who Wants to be a Game Show Maniac?”

This software is designed to empower you to create an exciting game that your clients will love. Choose to use the multiple-choice questions included in the program or you create your own. The program is designed to give many options and different ways to play, either stand alone or in conjunction with a GSS-4 Game Show Systems.

With Game Show Maniac you can do this and more:

Single contestant play – allows player to answer multiple choice questions in order to reach higher levels of difficulty, game is over when a wrong answer given.

Multiple contestant play – game is not over until all levels have been shown. If wrong answer is given, another player has the chance to answer. This game is designed to work with the GSS-4 Game Show System (see other side for details).

Game Saver – if player needs help, you have three Game Savers available to you. (1) Ask a person in the audience or audience response by applause (applause meter available from Creative Imagineering) or another polling method can be used, (2) 50:50, or (3) skip this question and give a different question on the same level.

Hidden Answer – for the Host and/or operator, answer can be revealed with the click of the mouse in the lower right hand corner of the screen, or can be shown all of the time! These choices are made on the initial set-up screen.

Customizable game formats – allow you to enter questions to suit your needs, such as questions pertaining to a particular type of business, company or individual.

Multiple levels to achieve – choose how many questions each contestant(s) will have in each game.

Change level values and/or names – during set-up you can change values and the names of each level to suit the needs of the game you’re designing and save these settings for future use.

Selectable categories – four categories of questions are already stored in the program, these are: General, Sports, Movies, and Television.

Questions can be added and edited – you may edit any question in any category provided in the game. Plus you have five custom categories for your own entries!

Use your own logo – you may customize the screen by adding your own logo or that of the business/corporation you may be entertaining. (we can customized logos for you, cost varies by complexity)

Special note: The control “buttons” and correct answer display on the very bottom of the screen (icons, reveal question, reveal answer, etc.) are for the operator and host only, and should be masked off (covered) from site of the contestants and audience.

“Who Wants to be a Game Show Maniac” Multi Player Mode
The Multi-player function is designed to create an exciting multi-player game using the GSS-4 Game Show System. The software operates similar to the standard single player mode, but the game will not end when an incorrect answer is given. The game will continue, allowing up to four chances for the correct answer, thus creating an atmosphere of greater competition and the ability to involve more people. The game or “round” is over when the top level is achieved (the number of levels is easily changed during game set-up).

There are a number of different ways the game can be played.

Here are two examples:

Using at least 2 and up to 16 GSS-4 player positions: With the Controller in the “Lockout” mode, ask the question and give the 4 possible answers, preferably set up to be seen on screen(s) by audience and contestants. At this point, have the contestants push answer button A, B, C or D on their player position. Of course, only the first person to hit a button will lockout. Use the LCD read out display on the controller, or the player position hit button that has locked out (illuminated), to verify whether the contestant pushed the correct button or not. If correct, give the appropriate number of points by pushing the ‘Correct’ button on the GSS-4 Controller. If incorrect, push the ‘Wrong’ button on the Controller and give another contestant the chance to lock out and try for the correct response (points can also be deducted for incorrect answers if you wish).

A simplified (and popular) way of doing a multi player game, is to let the contestants hit any button to lockout and verbally give their answer, therefore eliminating the need to look at the player position button or LCD display on the Controller.

Put the GSS-4 Controller in Multiple Choice mode (M-Choice:): This gives each contestant the opportunity to answer. Set-up the Maniac software to display the correct answer in the lower right screen area, and make sure the correct answer is assigned on the GSS-4 controller by selecting (Answer) A, B, C or D on the LCD display. This has to be done before any of the answers appear on the screen for the contestants. In this mode you have the advantage of each player answering every question. Naturally, you can adjust the point values for the correct and wrong answers as you choose.
